The Conjuring 2 Trailer : How Children Are Represented In Horror Films
Idea on how children are typically represented in horror films through the recognisable characteristics that portray them as evil/the antagonist. Children are more commonly feared in horror films than adults, they are rarely portrayed as the victim in horrors and usually take up a role that is more sinister, which is diverted from the usual charactersitics of innocence.

My ideas
Key Representations of children in horror films: how they are portrayed through characteristics, effect this has on the spectators and the film itself, different character types such as antagonist or victim. The connotations of childhood through horror (e.g. Use of nursery rhymes, toys) and how this is effective.

  1. I think you need some more research on this. There is an idea but far more detail needed. Maybe something about evil children start with the Exorcist? More reading and research needed
